Quilter now runs in AWS GovCloud (US), on U.S. soil and on infrastructure maintained by U.S. citizens. Defense and government teams use it in one of two ways:
As their Quilter environment: run non-controlled boards on GovCloud, with nothing to install or maintain.
As a pilot: evaluate Quilter on GovCloud before setting up a self-hosted deployment.

It's built for engineering teams at defense, aerospace and government contractors that need GovCloud infrastructure. Use it as your Quilter deployment if GovCloud meets your requirements, or as a first step before a self-hosted deployment for controlled programs.
Quilter on GovCloud is for you if:

Quilter's hosted GovCloud environment is not suitable for ITAR-controlled data or CUI.
For controlled programs, Quilter can be deployed in your own cloud environment or an air-gapped network, where your compliance controls apply.
Quilter is SOC 2 Type II compliant. Every year, an independent auditor tests our security controls over a 12-month observation period, and an outside firm runs a penetration test on the application and its exposed infrastructure. Continuous scanning covers compute, container images, and software dependencies. The SOC 2 report and penetration test summary are available under NDA.

Quilter on GovCloud runs in its own AWS GovCloud (US) environment, separate from Quilter's commercial cloud. Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher.
Your engineers sign in with corporate single sign-on (SSO) through your identity provider. On Quilter's side, production access requires multi-factor authentication, is time-limited and logged, and is reviewed every quarter.
You own your designs and every layout Quilter generates, and you can delete a run at any time. Your designs are not used to train our models, and no customer data is sent to third-party AI or LLM services.
No. Use the hosted environment for non-controlled boards. For controlled programs, run Quilter self-hosted in your own environment.
No. Quilter hosts and operates the GovCloud environment. Self-hosted deployments run in your account.
No. Teams whose programs require those controls run Quilter self-hosted, inside their own environment.

Keep using the hosted environment for non-controlled boards, or move to a self-hosted deployment for controlled work.
